The Final Countdown . . .

Well, the kids are in their last quarter of school. The jury has been out for quite awhile on where Kayle would attend college next fall - but since the decision must be made by May 1st . . . I am pleased to announce we finally have a winner!

It's a place in northeastern Washington that Kayle will call his next "home away from home." (Wherever home is these days - guess the saying "Home is where the heart is" holds quite true for us nomads :-) The name of the place is comprised of nine letters; two vowels and four consonants . . .

For you movie fans, how funny that Toy Story 3 comes out this summer as "Andy" the lead character has now grown into a young man and is heading off to college . . . remembering the day when the first Toy Story came out and how my "Andy" was so much younger.

Well, there was supposed to be a tournament, a competition . . . but when we arrived at the game, the others teams had forfeited . . . but the team showed off their individual skills - each of them got to compete in the free shot competition, three point competition and slam dunk . . . Gavin made 17 shots in 2 minutes (granted, he got closer to the basket with every shot :-)Gavin with his first basketball medal
